When I arrived at the top of the grassy promontory near the Meat Cove campground, the sun was setting and the pilot whales were playing in the ocean far below. The boundary between the sky and ocean was not distinct - the impression could be described as a window on infinity. The only other hiker of the evening described it as "mindspelling".
