Athabasca Falls

Athabasca Falls is beautiful, incredibly powerful, and usually very crowded. If you can manage to go early in the morning or in the off season, you probably won't have to push through crowds to see things.

That being said, there is lots to see - dry canyons, potholes, the falls themselves, pools below the falls. It is all spectacular. There are fences everywhere to keep your kids in line and for the teens to hop over and put themselves in extreme danger.

To get here, head south on the Icefields Parkway from Jasper. It takes about 20 minutes or so, but you can't miss it - there are big signs. It is right at the point where the 93 and the 93a meet.
