To access the hiking trails, you could go to the extremely busy parking lot near the ski resort, or you could head east on Chemin Schweizer at the south edge of town. Up the hill at the end you will find a secluded parking area, and the trails in this area are not as heavily traveled or maintained, giving it more of a wilderness feel. A wilderness feel is a rarity in the townships, but then again that's not what the townships are for. You could get away without paying when embarking from this point, but you're expected to have the $5 tag on you. Probably the most enjoyable thing to do is to skip the trails and boulder hop up the creek.
