Waterton Meadows

This trail through the meadows is a pleasant and easy hike. The scenery doesn't change very quickly, but there is beauty all around, and from the tops of the gentle rises, you can see forever.
It starts at a small pull-off on the Red Rock Parkway, and goes to the Buffalo Paddock. There is an obvious trail the whole way, and although it would be easy to wander anywhere around the meadows without getting lost, you don't want to trample too many wildflowers and sensitive plants. Staying on the trail is best.
If you want to continue, you can go all the way around a small mountain and along the northern border of the park. This whole loop is 21 km.
