Davis Lake Provincial Park

Davis Lake Provincial Park surrounds a small mountain lake in BC's mainland. I was there on a busy July weekend, which meant lots of dune buggies and brave people in 4wd vehicles. The tracks cut through the forest are very rough, but plentiful.
But despite the people and vehicles, it was a beautiful and peaceful place.
There are no services here. Parking is a widened part of the road strewn with large rocks. It took us about 15 minutes to walk down to the lake with all our camping gear.
We didn't check out the falls at all, as we camped at the north end of the lake. We didn't realize they were there until we left, so no idea how accessible they are.
When you go here, please be respectful of other campers. Be quiet at night, and pack out all your garbage.
To get here, turn north on Sylvester Road from the Lougheed Highway (#7). Sylvester Road will turn into a rough logging road. You can find the lake either with GPS, or by counting 18.5km from the highway. You can't see the lake from the road.
