Joffre Lakes Provincial Park
Joffre Lakes Provincial Park is nestled in the mountians just northeast of Lillooet. It has a decent sized parking lot with outhouses and a good map. Many people stop and make the short walk to the first lake. It is a fairly nice view and a good way to stretch your legs. However, the full hike is much more interesting.
The trail between the lakes gets rough at times, sometimes with tree roots, and sometimes crossing rockslides. It climbs a lot - more steeply as you approach the upper lake. The view along the trail is mostly through the lush forest, but as you cross rockslides, the view opens up and you can see across the valley.
Just as you approach the middle lake, there is a rough bridge crossing the river. There is a campground on the far side of the upper lake. It can fill up on weekends, so its best to go early or in the middle of the week. You can proceed past the upper lake right to the glacier.
