Schooner Cove Trail

The Schooner Cove Trail is also sometimes called the Schooner Beach Trail. It's a lovely trail, mostly on boardwalks, that winds through old growth forest. There are lots of stairs as it crosses a couple creeks on the way down to the beach.

The beach is at the north end of Long Beach. The trail seems pretty secluded, but it actually is pretty near a little town or subdivision or group of houses of some sort. So you do hear cars and dogs and the bustle of life once you get to the beach.

It is a nice way to stretch your legs with an enjoyable walk through a beautiful forest. Definitely worth doing, but maybe not the best place to spend the day. For a place to hang out and spend days, check out the Wild Pacific Trail in Ucluelet (although that doesn't really have beaches).
