This is a beautiful hike up to a viewpoint on the south side of Goldensides Mountain. It is one of the most popular hikes in the park, so the trail is easy to follow and you will probably meet other people on it.

You start off in waist-high willows that get smaller as you ascend. At the end of the trail, the willows are almost all gone and all the vegetation is very low to the ground. The end point is defined. You could scramble up the south side of Goldensides Mountain (but it would be a scramble), or descend to go further up the valley, but the pile of rocks at the official end is a satisfying viewpoint and we hung out there during the sunset, just taking in the scenery.
