Mary's point is a fascinating area to explore. There are large beautiful beaches to hang out on. There are rocky outcrops to wind your way through. There are thick forests to explore. There are massive tidal changes which expose and cover many kilometers of shore. There is abundant wildlife. There is extensive human history if you have sharp eyes. There used to be a sandstone quarry out on the point. If you like wandering around a natural area without trails, you'll love Mary's Point.
There is an interpretive center here with very friendly and knowledgeable summer student employees when I was there. You can just bypass this to go for a hike though.
