Ispuchaw Lake

Ispuchaw (said ispishaw) Lake is a normal and nice northern Saskatchewan Lake surrounded by mixed pine forest. There is a little bit of a campground at the lake - think dirt tracks, some cleared areas, and some picnic tables. To put in the canoes, we parked at a picnic area, unloaded the canoes, and hauled them down a sandy bank to the shore. There might be a boat launch somewhere, but I didn't see it. It is small enough that you don't have to worry about rough water (Deschambault Lake, further up the Hanson Lake Road, can get pretty rough), and close enough to civilization that you can go for a quick day trip. Overall, a pleasant if not spectacular little lake.
