Pemmican Point, Tobin Lake

Some dirt roads through forested crown land lead down to Tobin Lake. These roads are pretty bad, there's a very steep hill, and there are often fallen trees across the roads. In winter they're groomed for snowmobiling, but even then they're sometimes impassible. Hiking down is the easiest way to get wherever you want, but it takes a little longer.

In summer the birds are everywhere, and there is excellent berry picking around here. It's getting more popular all the time, but if you get off the roads and hike out to the beaver ponds or something, you probably won't meet anyone.

Tobin Lake is good for fishing, but isn't the cleanest lake around.
