Battle Lake is a long narrow lake, just south-west of Pigeon Lake. The campground has trees all around with a small playground, boat launch, and picnic tables.
The lake has reeds and beaver lodges around most of the shore. In a few places you can get in behind the reeds with a canoe or kayak, and you can explore around the shore.
There are quite a few cottages around the lake, but it doesn't seem especially busy, and is definitely a lot quieter than Pigeon Lake.
