Redwater Natural Area is a large area of mostly pine trees and undergrowth covering sand dunes. There are some areas with poplar trees, and some wetlands, with one notable lake not too far from the parking area. I have not been able to find any trail maps of the area, so it is adviseable to have a gps along and give yourself lots of time to get back to your vehicle. The trails are wide and sandy. ATVs and dirtbikes frequent the area.

To get here from Edmonton, take highway 15 heading north-east. At secondary road 830, turn north. At the end, turn left, cross the North Saskatchewan River, and then turn north shortly after. I think the gravel road is called Victoria Trail. From here, just follow the signs. Park in the big sandy area.
